What earns a casino a place on this list

A casino is listed here when it documents a provably fair method for games on its own site: a commitment, usually a hash, shown before you bet and a way to check the result afterwards. Twenty-one of the 29 casinos we researched in depth meet that test as of October 2026. For most of them the method covers their in-house Originals; for 7Bit Casino and BitStarz it rests on studio software built into specific games.

Eight open casinos are not here. Betpanda has Originals but no page explaining seeds or a verifier. Bets.io, CoinCasino, Instant Casino, Lucky Block and Mega Dice market fairness without a house seed system, TG Casino's reported originals are unconfirmed, and Vave's own pages describe no verifier. Their studio games may still carry checks of their own, but the casino itself documents nothing.

This page explains how the listed implementations differ and what to look at. The full mechanics, at guide length, are in how provably fair games work, step by step.

Four designs behind the same label

The listed casinos use one of four broad approaches, and they do not give you the same control.

  1. Seed pair with a nonce: the casino commits to a hashed server seed, you supply or change a client seed, and a counter moves with every bet. Stake, Shuffle, Roobet, Winna and Wolfbet run these inputs through HMAC-SHA256, the keyed hash defined in RFC 2104. Cloudbet uses SHA3-256 and SHAKE256 instead.
  2. A pre-generated hash chain, used where all players share a result, such as crash. Gamdom applies a chain to each of its eleven Originals.
  3. A commitment without your input. Thunderpick publishes SHA256(salt + number) before each ThunderSpin round. You can prove the number was not changed, but you add nothing to it.
  4. Studio widgets. 7Bit Casino relies on BGaming's built-in check, and BitStarz on SoftSwiss's, where you push the outcome with a number, a deck cut or a digit per reel.

The first design gives the player the most influence, because a client seed you choose means the casino cannot know the outcome in advance. The third gives the least.

A five-point check before you trust a proof

  1. Find the hash before you bet. If the game cannot show you a committed value first, there is nothing to prove.
  2. Set your own client seed. Stake recommends replacing the browser default so your input affects the outcome.
  3. Rotate the seed pair and confirm that the revealed server seed hashes to the commitment you saw. SHA-256 itself is specified in NIST FIPS 180-4, so any standard tool will do.
  4. Recompute one result outside the casino. DuckDice and Stake publish JavaScript, BC.Game links an external Crash verifier, and Cloudbet says third-party tools work.
  5. Match the message format. Roobet builds its input as "clientSeed - nonce" with spaces, so a Stake-style verifier reports a mismatch that is not real.

Seed sessions also reset in ways that catch people out. Wolfbet warns you if you change a seed during autobet, because it alters the next results in the running session. Gamdom's wallet article notes that switching wallet or betting currency mid-game can open a new seed session with some providers, so note your seeds before you switch.

What a valid proof does not cover

A matching hash shows that a result was fixed before you played. It says nothing about the price of the game. BC.Game's originals are provably fair and were cut from 99% to 96% RTP. Thunderpick's ThunderSpin passes its hash check at a 6.25% house edge, worked out from its own wheel layout, and the casino states that edge nowhere.

Coverage has gaps too. On every listed casino, third-party slots and live tables sit outside the seed system and rely on studio certification. At Roobet only about half the Originals can be checked bet by bet with your own seed. Rakebit describes a seed method while its linked documentation site is empty, and 1xBit's review could not find how its nonce or client seed is handled.

A proof also has no bearing on whether a withdrawal gets paid. Payout terms, caps and complaint records are a separate question, set out in each review. Our explainer on how crypto casinos verify game fairness places seed checks next to RNG lab testing.

Lab certificates that are claimed but not shown

Several listed casinos pair their verifier with a testing-lab claim that the review could not confirm. DuckDice, Wolfbet and Wild.io cite iTech Labs with no certificate linked. Shuffle's iTech Labs certification appears only in a third-party report, and Jackbit says a "reputable license laboratory" tested its RNGs without naming it. Cloudbet compares actual RTPs with theoretical ones each quarter but names no lab. Treat these as the operator's own statements; the hash check is the part you can run yourself.

Choosing among the provably fair casinos

For the most complete documentation, Stake publishes its code across 31 Originals and Winna prints both its code and an RTP for every Original. Wolfbet documents each of its five games formula by formula, all at a 1% edge. Cloudbet suits players who want a different hash family, with SHA-3 and rejection sampling written up in detail.

For dice specifically, DuckDice publishes a verifier and makes seeds and results public by default. BC.Game offers a long range of house games with an external verifier, at a 4% edge. Check the limits of what is covered at Roobet, where only some Originals take your seed, and at Thunderpick, where you cannot add input at all.

A proof shows a result was not changed after you bet, and the house edge still applies to every round. Crash and plinko players can compare edges on our crash crypto casinos and plinko crypto casinos pages.

Common questions before you choose

Quick answers that connect this page with casino comparison, bonuses, coins, and review checks.

What does provably fair mean at a crypto casino?

The casino commits to a result in advance, usually by showing a hash of its server seed, and lets you check afterwards that the revealed seed matches. With your own client seed and a nonce in the mix, you can recompute each result yourself. It proves the outcome was not changed after you bet.

Which crypto casinos publish their provably fair code?

Stake publishes JavaScript for its 31 Originals, Winna publishes its HMAC-SHA256 implementation for all 15 Originals, and Wolfbet documents a formula for each of its five house games. DuckDice publishes a JavaScript verifier, and Cloudbet documents its SHA-3 method in detail.

Does provably fair mean the game has a good RTP?

No. A proof covers whether the result was fixed in advance, not the house edge. BC.Game's provably fair originals were cut from 99% to 96% RTP, and Thunderpick's ThunderSpin works out at 93.75% while still passing its hash check.

Are slots and live games at crypto casinos provably fair?

Generally not. At every casino on this list, third-party slots and live tables rely on the studio's certified random number generator. The exceptions are studio games with a check built in, such as BGaming titles at 7Bit Casino and SoftSwiss games at BitStarz.

Why does my Roobet bet fail in a provably fair checker?

Roobet formats its input as client seed, space, hyphen, space, nonce, while Stake-style checkers expect a colon. Running a Roobet bet through a tool built for Stake reports a mismatch that is not real. Use a checker that matches Roobet's format.

Can I set my own client seed?

At most listed casinos, yes. Stake, Shuffle, Wolfbet, Cloudbet, DuckDice, BC.Game and Duelbits let you change it, and Stake recommends doing so. Thunderpick's ThunderSpin takes no player input, and Gamdom's hash chains do not describe a personal seed.
