Payment Methods

Vave has a large slots and sportsbook lobby on one crypto balance and a 150% first-deposit offer up to 1.5 BTC, but its regulatory record outweighs the product. The Dutch gambling regulator fined its operator €3,082,000 in June 2026 for offering games without the licence required in the Netherlands, after earlier penalties of €840,000 had gone unpaid. No licence register we checked lists vave.com, and Casino Guru rates it 2.3 out of 10. It only suits experienced players who keep balances small.

Vave in numbers

Vave blocks visitors from the United States, its terms pages included, so this table marks where each figure comes from. "Operator" means Vave's own help centre, blog or site text. "Regulator" means a public register or decision.

The Dutch enforcement file, step by step

The Netherlands' gambling regulator, the Kansspelautoriteit (KSA), has taken three decisions against Vave's operator. The December 2024 order is on one KSA sanctions page and the recovery and fine decisions on a second one. The KSA lists each decision as final, with no objection lodged.

Date of decisionDecisionAmountPublished
18 December 2024Order subject to penalty (last onder dwangsom) to stop offering games to Dutch players via vave.com, vave-luck.com and 65avev55.com€280,000 per week, up to €840,00029 April 2025 (news item); 30 April 2025 (sanctions page)
5 September 2025Recovery decision: the order was breached and the penalties were forfeited but not paid€840,000KSA sanctions page
9 June 2026Administrative fine for offering games of chance without the licence required in the Netherlands€3,082,00017 June 2026

The KSA's announcement of 17 June 2026 says the Costa Rica-based company ran English-language sites, advertised in Dutch and "actively" targeted Dutch players, with no measures to stop people in the Netherlands from playing. It lists aggravating factors such as no age checks and autoplay or turbo play, and notes separately that the sites took payment in cryptocurrency. The fine itself is for the offer without the required Dutch licence ("zonder de benodigde vergunning"); the unpaid penalties were handled by the separate recovery decision. When the KSA checked after the December 2024 order, it found the violations had not stopped, which is why the full €840,000 in penalties fell due.

Two points matter for players outside the Netherlands. First, the KSA's findings are about Dutch law; they say nothing about whether Vave pays its customers. Second, the file shows an operator that kept serving a market after a binding order and did not pay the penalties. That is relevant when you judge how it might treat a dispute with you.

Which licence covers the domain?

On the evidence available in October 2026, none we could find. We could not find a licence number on any Vave page we could read (vave.com blocks US visitors), and the sources that name a licence point to other companies or other domains.

  • Vave's help centre article on licensing, written in 2023, says the site "is managed and operated by TechOptions Group B.V., which holds a license issued by the Curacao IGaming Authority". It gives no number. The KSA decisions from 2024 onward name Chestoption, a Costa Rican company, instead.
  • The Anjouan licence register returns two rows for "vave", and neither includes vave.com. Neomatrix Ltd holds ALSI-202505032-FI2 (valid to 28 May 2027) for six domains including vavegame.io, and 3-102-969332 SRL holds ALSI-202608039-FI2 for vaveya.com. A search for Chestoption returns nothing.
  • The Curaçao Gaming Authority certificate OGL/2024/1676/0905 belongs to Latcas B.V., shows an Active status since 19 May 2025, and approves six domains including vavegame.com. It does not list vave.com. Casino Guru names Latcas B.V. as Vave's operator and says Vave holds a Curaçao licence.
  • AskGamblers lists Vave's licence as Anjouan Gaming Board and its company as Neomatrix LTD. Casino Guru lists the Anjouan number ALSI-202505032-FI2 and the Curaçao number OGL/2024/1676/0905 against Vave and marks both "Unverifiable". Both numbers belong to licensees whose registered domains do not include vave.com.
  • Vave's own interface text still contains a generic line saying the site "operates under a license issued by the Government of Curacao", without a licensee or number.

So the domains vavegame.io and vavegame.com are covered by licences held by Neomatrix Ltd and Latcas B.V., while vave.com, the site the KSA fined, is not listed under either. We could not establish from public records whether those companies are connected to Chestoption. A Costa Rican company registration is a business registration, not a gambling licence.

What that means if something goes wrong

Without a licence covering the domain, there is no regulator whose rules require Vave to offer an independent dispute service. The Anjouan board's rules require licensees to provide alternative dispute resolution, and the Curaçao Gaming Authority's online-gaming page says it "does not handle individual complaints against gaming providers" and "cannot order gaming operators to compensate players", while accepting complaints at complaints@cga.cw as possible evidence of a breach. Neither route applies cleanly to a domain neither regulator lists. In practice, a player with a stuck withdrawal is left with Vave's support team and public complaint platforms. Our guide to whether crypto casinos are legal where you live explains why that gap matters.

Platform and sister sites

Vave's interface text includes leftover strings from another brand, such as "Exchange 20Bet casino coins" and "Install the 20bet app", and a notice that "your account and funds have been transferred to the new project vave.com". That suggests a shared platform. Casino Guru says Vave is connected with six other online casinos and counts their records in its score. We did not find a public statement from the operator naming its sister brands.

The 150% welcome offer and what is known about its rules

Vave's own site text, as served in October 2026, advertises a "150% Welcome Bonus for Casino" with banners reading "up to 1.5 BTC! + 100 FS". Bonus terms vary by country, and visitors from blocked regions cannot open the bonus page at all. The full rules therefore come from secondary sources, and they do not all agree:

  • A copy of Vave's first-deposit terms, published by AskGamblers in October 2024, sets the minimum at one deposit of 20 USDT, a cap of 1.5 BTC and one bonus per customer. It says the bonus is released "in installments depending on the wager done", that you press "Credit To Balance" to use each part, that it must be wagered within 30 days and that there is "no maximum bet restriction". The 100 free spins arrive as 25 a day for four days.
  • That copy does not state the wagering multiple. Two independent reviews from 2026 give 50x on the bonus, 40x on free-spin winnings and a 10,000 USDT cap on cashout from bonus winnings. One of them describes a four-deposit package continuing with 100% up to 1 BTC, 50% up to 1 BTC and 25% up to 0.5 BTC.
  • Vave's help centre, last updated in 2023, describes a different welcome offer: a 100% cashback bonus for casino and sports, paid on the first Sunday after a 20 USDT deposit. Its June 2024 blog described the casino version as up to 1 BTC with 40x wagering, slots only.
  • One 2026 review, citing Vave's terms as read on 21 September 2026, says every deposit must be wagered three times in the casino or once on sports before withdrawal, bonus or not.

Worked example: 100 USDT with the 150% match

Deposit 100 USDT and the match is 150 USDT. Because no published operator text gives the wagering base, here are both common readings, using the 50x figure the 2026 reviews report:

  • 50x the bonus only: 50 × 150 = 7,500 USDT of bets. At a 96% RTP slot the expected cost is 7,500 × 4% = 300 USDT.
  • 50x the deposit plus bonus: 50 × 250 = 12,500 USDT of bets, with an expected cost of 12,500 × 4% = 500 USDT.

Under either reading, the expected cost of clearing the bonus is two to more than three times the 150 USDT it adds. The instalment release means some of the bonus reaches your balance before you finish, but the terms copy does not say what happens to unreleased parts after 30 days. Without a bonus, the reported 3x deposit rule still means 300 USDT of bets before withdrawing, an expected cost of 12 USDT on a 96% slot.

The match only makes sense for a player who planned thousands of USDT in slot volume anyway and accepts the 10,000 USDT cap on what bonus winnings can pay. For anyone else, playing without it is cheaper. For a fuller method, see our guide to which crypto casino has the best welcome bonus, or compare other crypto welcome bonuses.

VIP points, cashback and reloads

Vave runs two VIP programmes, one for casino players and one for sports bettors, and you join with your first deposit. According to the help centre, casino play earns 1 VIP point (VP) per 20 USDT wagered and sports betting 1 VP per 10 USDT, and every 100 VP converts to 1 USDT. The site's interface sets the minimum exchange at 200 VP.

That conversion rate is low. Earning 100 VP on casino games takes 2,000 USDT of bets, so the points pay back 0.05% of what you wager. On a slot with a 4% house edge, that returns about one-eightieth of the edge. The level-up rewards add more. The casino ladder below is from Vave's June 2024 blog, the most recent operator version we found.

LevelPoints neededCasino wagering at 1 VP per 20 USDTReward

185,000,000100,000,000 USDT100,000 USDT

The sports ladder has seven levels that reset every month, from 100 USDT at 200 points to 250,000 USDT at 500,000 points. The blog also describes slot races with daily prizes of up to 500 USDT and a larger monthly pool; its wording on the free-spin prizes is unclear.

Recurring offers reported in 2026

Third-party reviews from 2026 list a weekly cashback of up to 7% of net losses from VIP level 1, a Thursday reload of 100% up to 2,500 USDT, a daily deposit bonus, football cashback and a Wheel of Fortune. Vave's interface text does contain the wheel, with prizes up to 1 BTC on the bronze and silver wheels and 2 BTC on gold. The 2024 blog described the Thursday reload differently, as 50% plus 100 free spins from the second deposit. Treat the recurring terms as unconfirmed until you can read them in your own account. Our page on crypto reload and deposit bonuses lists offers with published terms.

Coins, deposits and withdrawal speed

Vave's 2023 help centre lists BTC, ETH, BCH, DOGE, LTC, TRX, XRP and USDT on three networks; its June 2024 blog also names BNB, TON, ADA and BSV. Its January 2025 blog adds that most coins need about $20 to deposit, falling to $1 or $2 for Litecoin or Dogecoin. Third-party reviews say card purchases of crypto run through outside providers. The minimums below are from the 2023 help-centre article, the only per-coin list Vave published; check the cashier before sending, because sending less than the minimum can lose the deposit.

How long payouts take, by Vave's own account

Vave's statements about payout speed have shifted. A 2023 help article says most withdrawals are validated automatically and that some "may take a few hours". Another 2023 article says there are no withdrawal limits "at this moment". The January 2025 blog says withdrawals can take "from a few hours to up to 3 days". Casino Guru records a withdrawal limit of 50,000 USDT per month.

Complaint platforms describe the slow end of that range. AskGamblers complaints include two USDT withdrawals held under a "security check", payouts of $6,172 and $1,200 pending for more than 80 hours while support said "further review is needed", and a player told there was "no time frame" for approval. A 2023 help article said there was no mandatory identity verification; later complaints describe document requests before withdrawals that went unanswered for days. These are player accounts, not findings, but they repeat.

Games, live tables and the sportsbook

Vave's 2023 help centre described "over 5000 slot games" plus live games and game shows. Third-party reviews from 2026 put the lobby at more than 10,000 titles from over 90 studios, naming Pragmatic Play, Evolution, NetEnt, Nolimit City, Hacksaw Gaming, Play'n GO, Yggdrasil, Big Time Gaming, Relax Gaming, Push Gaming, Red Tiger and Spribe. Counts depend on your country, because studios withdraw titles by market.

The sportsbook sits on the same balance, with its own VIP ladder and, according to the help centre, multi-bets. For live dealer play, compare Vave with our list of live crypto casinos.

Originals and provably fair claims

Here the sources contradict each other. One 2026 review lists in-house Vave games; another says Vave has no originals and carries third-party crash and instant-win titles, some of them provably fair. Casino Guru lists a provider called Vave and "Casino's Own Original Games" among 134 studios, but we found no operator page that names its own provably fair games, publishes their RTP or describes a seed verifier. Treat any claim of a "flat 99% RTP" originals suite as unconfirmed.

Countries, VPNs and a 2024 blog post

Vave's site shows visitors from blocked regions a page titled "Vave is currently not available in your region". It tells them to "Turn off VPN & Reload" and suggests VPN users "switch to a server in a supported country". The full restricted list sits in the terms, which blocked visitors cannot open. A 2026 review that read those terms says 12 countries are barred from real-money play, including the United States, the United Kingdom, France and the Netherlands.

The VPN question is where Vave's own publishing stands out. A June 2024 post on Vave's blog asks "Can I use a VPN with Vave Casino" and answers "Yes, you can use a VPN to register an account as follows:", then lists sign-up steps. A 2026 review reports that the terms allow VPNs but warn that they can break games. Read that together with the KSA's finding that Vave took no measures to keep Dutch players out.

We do not recommend using a VPN to reach Vave or any casino from a country it restricts. If a casino later decides you broke its location rules, you have no regulator to appeal to, and the operator decides whether to pay. Our guide to what casino terms actually say about VPNs covers the risks in detail.

Complaints and ratings

The two largest complaint platforms reach very different verdicts.

  • Casino Guru, as of October 2026, gives Vave a Safety Index of 2.3, its "Very low" band, and strongly suggests players avoid it. Its panel shows 77 complaints: 5 open, 1 unresolved, 21 resolved and 50 rejected. Its text also says it holds one complaint directly about Vave and two about related casinos, and that it judges the disputed sums very high for the casino's size. It rates the terms unfair, citing clauses on low-risk play leading to confiscated winnings, short deadlines for providing documents, and losing winnings for claiming too many bonuses or only depositing when a bonus is offered. It found Vave on no blacklist.
  • AskGamblers shows a CasinoRank of 8 out of 10, a player rating of 9.1 from 135 reviews, 25 complaints and a two-day average response. Its complaint stats list 24 of 25 complaints as resolved, including 17 of 17 in the payment category, with a 7-day average duration.

AskGamblers complaints describe winnings confiscated after a birthday bonus, deposits not refunded after a failed transfer, and a player who says a self-exclusion request was answered with bonus offers from a VIP manager. In a Casino Guru case about a closed account, Vave replied that the account was closed for a duplicate-account violation under its terms. These are allegations with one reply on record, not established facts, but delayed withdrawals are the most common subject on both platforms.

Self-exclusion and cooling-off

Vave's help centre describes two tools. A cooling-off period suspends betting for anywhere from a day to six months, while still letting you into the account. Self-exclusion locks you out of the account and all gambling "typically six months or longer". A 2026 review that read the terms says deposit, loss and wager limits are available by day, week or month, cooling-off runs from one week to six months, self-exclusion is offered for six months, nine months or a year, and all of them are set by emailing support@vave.com rather than from a button in the account.

Needing an email for a limit is slower than a self-service setting, and one AskGamblers complaint alleges a self-exclusion request was not acted on. If you need a hard block, ask support in writing, keep the reply, and consider device-level blocking software as well.

Vave next to BC.Game, 1xBit and Thunderpick

Vave, 1xBit and Thunderpick combine a casino and a sportsbook on one crypto balance; BC.Game is included for its staged crypto welcome. Figures for the other casinos come from our reviews of them.

For a casino-plus-sportsbook with a public licence, Thunderpick has published 40x terms and a Curaçao Gaming Authority licence. BC.Game has a cheaper entry point and a staged welcome. 1xBit matches Vave's breadth of coins and markets under an Anjouan licence, though it has its own payout complaints. If you want a slots-first site whose terms publish the bonus and VIP rules in full (its promotional pages sometimes disagree with them), see our Wild.io review. For a general checklist, see how to choose a crypto casino.

Who might still choose it, and who should not

The case for Vave is narrow. It suits an experienced crypto player in a country it accepts, who wants a broad slots and sports lobby on one balance, deposits small amounts, skips the welcome match and withdraws winnings promptly rather than building a balance.

Skip it if you want a licence you can check for the domain you play on, written bonus terms you can read before depositing, or a regulator to turn to in a dispute. Skip it as well if you are in the Netherlands or any restricted country, if you rely on self-service deposit limits, or if you expect to withdraw five-figure sums: Casino Guru's 2.3 rating, the unpaid Dutch penalties and player complaints about withdrawals held for days all point the same way.

Mobile experience

Vave runs in the mobile browser. Third-party reviews describe an installable web app rather than a store app. The casino, sportsbook and cashier share one balance, and visitors from blocked regions see only a restriction page.

Responsible gambling

Vave describes a cooling-off period of up to six months and self-exclusion of six months or longer; deposit, loss and wager limits are reported to be set by emailing support@vave.com.

FAQ

Is Vave licensed?
We found no licence for vave.com. The Anjouan register lists vavegame.io under Neomatrix Ltd and the Curaçao certificate OGL/2024/1676/0905 lists vavegame.com under Latcas B.V.; neither includes vave.com. AskGamblers names Neomatrix LTD under the Anjouan board, and Casino Guru lists both numbers against Vave marked Unverifiable.
Why was Vave fined in the Netherlands?
The Kansspelautoriteit fined Chestoption Sociedad de Responsibilidad Limitada €3,082,000 on 9 June 2026 for offering games of chance, among other sites via vave.com, without the licence required in the Netherlands. A separate December 2024 order had led to €840,000 in penalties that were forfeited and not paid.
Who owns Vave?
The Dutch regulator names Chestoption Sociedad de Responsibilidad Limitada, based in Costa Rica, as the company behind vave.com. Vave's older help articles named TechOptions Group B.V., and Casino Guru lists Latcas B.V.
What is the Vave welcome bonus?
Vave advertises a 150% casino welcome bonus up to 1.5 BTC plus 100 free spins, from a 20 USDT deposit. A 2024 copy of its terms says the bonus is released in instalments as you wager and must be cleared in 30 days; 2026 reviews report 50x wagering and a 10,000 USDT cap on bonus winnings.
How long do Vave withdrawals take?
Vave's January 2025 blog says withdrawals take from a few hours to up to three days depending on the method. Complaints on AskGamblers describe some payouts held for more than 80 hours, with support citing a security check or further review.
What is the minimum deposit at Vave?
Vave's blog says most coins need about $20, and as little as $1 or $2 for Litecoin or Dogecoin. Bonuses need at least 20 USDT in a single deposit.
Which cryptocurrencies does Vave accept?
Its 2023 help centre lists Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Dogecoin, Litecoin, Tron, XRP and USDT on TRC-20, ERC-20 and Solana; its 2024 blog also names BNB, TON, ADA and BSV. Card buyers are routed to third-party crypto providers.
Can I play Vave from the US or the UK?
No. Vave blocks both, and a 2026 review of its terms lists 12 barred countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, France and the Netherlands. Visitors from those regions see a restriction page.
