How to Compare Crypto Casinos Side by Side: A Scoring Method

Compare crypto casinos side by side: which data to collect and where, how to normalise it, and a weighted scoring matrix worked through on three real casinos.

To compare crypto casinos side by side, shortlist two or three that already pass basic safety checks and collect the same data points for each from primary sources. Convert everything to one coin, one deposit size and one game type, then score each casino in a weighted matrix. The weights reflect your priorities, so two readers can reach different winners from the same data.

Build the shortlist before you compare

A comparison only works on a short list. With more than three casinos, the differences blur and you end up deciding on whatever caught your eye. Start from the coin you will deposit and the games you will play, and filter on those two before anything else.

RollShark's listings are built for this step. Each coin page, such as USDT casinos, shows only casinos that accept that coin. Category pages narrow by game type or payout speed. Every listing row carries the same six columns: accepted coins, welcome bonus, withdrawal time, provably fair yes or no, cashback, and an editorial score out of 10. The main list is on the crypto casinos page.

Take your two or three candidates from those rows, but treat the listing as a filter. The editorial score is a general-purpose rating. Your comparison should end with a score built on your own priorities. If you have not yet worked out what those are, how to choose a crypto casino starts from the player and builds them up.

The data points to collect, and where each one lives

Collect every data point for every casino, from the same kind of source. A figure from a casino's terms beats the same figure from a promotion banner, and a regulator's register beats a licence seal. Write down the date you collected each one, because terms change.

For Curaçao licences, the Curaçao Gaming Authority's online gaming information page is the place to start. As of early October 2026 the CGA reports that its online gaming portal is offline and that existing licences remain valid. Where a lookup cannot be completed, record the licence as "unconfirmed" in your sheet rather than as verified.

Normalise before you score

Raw figures from three casinos are rarely comparable. One quotes in euros, another in USDT, a third in BTC. One applies wagering to the bonus and another to deposit plus bonus. Fix three variables and convert everything to them.

Same coin, same network

Two casinos can both "accept USDT" and still cost you different amounts to use. Tether exists on several blockchains, and Tether itself asks platforms to state clearly which ones they support. 7Bit Casino's cashier takes Tether on ERC-20, TRC-20 or BEP-20 but Ether on ERC-20 only, and warns that coins sent on the wrong network are lost. Score the coin criterion on the network you will actually use.

Same deposit size

Pick the amount you will really deposit and run every offer at that size. The caps on a 200% match up to $2,000 and a 100% match up to 1.5 BTC only matter on large deposits; at 100 USDT the two bonuses are simply 200 and 100. Convert minimums and caps into your coin as well, and note the currency each casino quotes.

Same game type and house edge

Bonus costs and rakeback values depend on the game. Fix one: for a slots player, a 96% RTP slot, which has a 4% house edge. RTP is a long-run average, as the UK Gambling Commission explains, so it is a fair basis for comparison but not a forecast. Then convert each welcome bonus into one number: the bonus minus the expected cost of the required wagering. The full method for that conversion is in how to compare crypto casino bonuses.

One more rule: when a casino does not publish a term, score the less favourable case until it confirms otherwise in writing, because a missing term is itself a finding.

A weighted scoring matrix you can adapt

Score each casino from 1 to 5 on each criterion, multiply by the weight, and add the results. A maximum score is 5.00. The default weights below suit a regular player who deposits modest amounts and cares more about getting paid than about bonuses. Change them before you score, not after you see the totals.

CriterionDefault weightScores 5 whenScores 1 when
Safety and licence25%Licence number published and on a register, long record, no payout-refusal patternNo licence, or a number that cannot be matched
Withdrawals20%Usually minutes, low minimum, no cap you would reachHours or days, or a cap below your normal win size
Ongoing rewards20%Cashback or rakeback you will reach at your stake, low or no wageringNothing, or only at volumes you will never play

Games fit10%Deep range in your game type, plus originals if you want themThin range in your game type
Welcome bonus10%Bonus minus expected cost is zero or positive at your depositBelow −$300 per $100 deposited, or not available to you

For the bonus row, use fixed bands so the score is arithmetic rather than a feeling: 5 at $0 or better, 4 down to −$100, 3 down to −$200, 2 down to −$300, and 1 below that, all per $100 deposited.

Worked comparison: Stake, 7Bit Casino and Bets.io

The player: holds USDT, deposits 100 USDT at a time, plays mostly slots with some originals, and wants fast withdrawals and steady cashback. All three casinos accept Tether and appear on our USDT list. The figures come from RollShark's reviews as of October 2026. Bonus terms and availability vary by country, so recheck them for yours.

Step 1: the collected data

Step 2: the bonus converted to one number

Deposit 100 USDT, slot at a 4% edge, and the less favourable base where the terms are silent:

  • Stake: no deposit match with published terms. Its welcome offer is the 3.5% rakeback, which belongs in the rewards row, and the matches sold through affiliate codes carry no published percentage, cap or rollover. Under the missing-term rule the bonus scores 1. The version affiliate sites usually quote, 200% at 40x deposit plus bonus, would give 200 − 480 = −280, a 2.
  • 7Bit Casino: bonus 100. The terms apply 35x to the bonus. Turnover 100 × 35 = 3,500. Expected cost 3,500 × 0.04 = 140. Result 100 − 140 = −40, which scores 4.
  • Bets.io: bonus 100. Wagering is 40x the bonus plus spin winnings; leaving the spins aside, turnover is 100 × 40 = 4,000. Expected cost 160. Result 100 − 160 = −60, which scores 4. Bonus winnings are capped at 5x the deposit, 500 USDT here.

The free spins are left out because their value depends on the spin size, which is not in our records.

Step 3: the scores and the arithmetic

Each cell shows score × weight. The reasons follow the table.

Criterion (weight)Stake7Bit CasinoBets.io
Safety and licence (0.25)5 × 0.25 = 1.254 × 0.25 = 1.003 × 0.25 = 0.75
Withdrawals (0.20)3 × 0.20 = 0.604 × 0.20 = 0.803 × 0.20 = 0.60
Ongoing rewards (0.20)2 × 0.20 = 0.403 × 0.20 = 0.605 × 0.20 = 1.00
Coin and fees (0.15)5 × 0.15 = 0.754 × 0.15 = 0.603 × 0.15 = 0.45
Games fit (0.10)4 × 0.10 = 0.404 × 0.10 = 0.403 × 0.10 = 0.30
Welcome bonus (0.10)1 × 0.10 = 0.104 × 0.10 = 0.404 × 0.10 = 0.40
Total (out of 5.00)3.503.803.50

Stake takes full marks on safety for a published licence number shown as Active and a record back to 2017, and on coin for USDT on five networks at a flat 1 USDT fee. It scores 3 on withdrawals because it publishes no typical payout time, although the 2.5 USDT minimum is low and no maximum is shown, and 2 on rewards because 3.5% of the house edge is about $1.40 per $1,000 on slots. 7Bit loses a point on licence because its pages name three different operating companies, and a point on withdrawals for the 0.12 BTC weekly cap and the rule that each deposit is turned over three times before cashout. It scores 3 on rewards because a 100 USDT player sits on the 5% tier at 35x wagering; 1x starts only at Level 12. Bets.io gets 5 on rewards for 5% daily and 20% Wednesday cashback at 3x, but 3 on safety because its terms name no operator and Casino Guru gives it a Safety Index of 3.2. It also scores 3 on withdrawals for the 0.001 BTC minimum, 3 on coin because networks appear only in the cashier, and 3 on games because its logged-out lobby showed 4,352 titles and it publishes no fairness page.

7Bit wins at 3.80, with Stake and Bets.io tied at 3.50. A 0.30 lead is small: one point less for 7Bit on withdrawals and one on rewards would reverse it. Break the tie on your highest-weighted criterion, where Stake's safety score puts it ahead of Bets.io, or deposit a small amount at the top two and compare a real withdrawal. Note that Stake, with the highest editorial score of the three at 9.8, finishes joint last, because the editorial score is not weighted for a 100 USDT slots player.

Step 4: change the weights and check the result

Now take a high-stakes player who never claims bonuses. Weights: safety 30%, withdrawals 30%, rewards 15%, coin 10%, games 15%, bonus 0%. Keep the other scores, but re-mark withdrawals for the size of win this player expects. 7Bit's 0.12 BTC weekly cap drops it to 1, and Bets.io's limits, which start at 1,000 USDT a day and rise only with recent deposits, drop it to 2. Stake, with no published maximum, stays at 3.

  • Stake: 1.50 + 0.90 + 0.30 + 0.50 + 0.60 + 0 = 3.80
  • 7Bit Casino: 1.20 + 0.30 + 0.45 + 0.40 + 0.60 + 0 = 2.95
  • Bets.io: 0.90 + 0.60 + 0.75 + 0.30 + 0.45 + 0 = 3.00

Stake moves to first. In practice the gap would be wider, because a high-volume player would also score Stake's VIP rewards above 2. The matrix shows which criteria decide the outcome, and the result moves with your weights and your stake. Rerun it whenever your stake or habits change.

Common traps in side-by-side comparisons

  • Ranking on the headline bonus. In the example above, Bets.io's first deposit match runs up to 1 BTC, but bonus winnings are capped at 5x the deposit and never more than 5,000 USDT, so the headline cannot pay out at that size.
  • Ignoring withdrawal minimums and caps. Bets.io's 0.001 BTC minimum withdrawal, about 70 USDT at its own rate, matters to a 50 USDT player. Betpanda's €5,000 a day, Winna's $10,000 a day and 7Bit's 0.12 BTC a week matter to anyone who wins big.
  • Treating advertised payout times as measured ones. Mega Dice's FAQ puts the average at about five minutes but allows up to 24 hours for review. Instant Casino's help centre says withdrawals are usually instant, while its home page says crypto withdrawals are often completed within 24 to 48 hours. Record the maximum the terms allow next to the typical time.
  • Using outdated review data. A BC.Game help article dated November 2025 says it cut the RTP of its originals from 99% to 96%, and Jackbit became Jack at jack.com in May 2026, so older write-ups describe a different product. Check the date on any review or listing, ours included, and confirm key terms on the casino's own pages.
  • Comparing two brands of one operator. Lucky Block and TG Casino both name 3-102-939604 Limitada as their operator. Shortlisting both does not spread your risk the way two unrelated operators would.
  • Mixing currencies. Lucky Block quotes its bonus in euros, CoinCasino in dollars and Bets.io in USDT. Convert before you compare caps and minimums.

Turning the matrix into a decision

Once the totals are in, read the reasons behind the winner as well as the number. If the winner leads only on a criterion you weighted lightly, check that you meant those weights. If two casinos are within 0.2 of each other, either is a reasonable choice, and the small-deposit test decides better than more research. Our best crypto casinos ranking and the individual reviews for Stake, 7Bit Casino and Bets.io carry the rest of the detail. If payout speed is your top criterion, our fastest withdrawal casinos guide ranks the whole dataset on that alone. Whatever you pick, set a deposit limit in the account before your first deposit; the responsible gambling page shows where to find it.

Frequently asked questions

How many crypto casinos should I compare at once?

Two or three. With more, you spend time collecting data on casinos you would never choose, and the differences become hard to read. Use coin and game-type filters to get to three, then compare those in full.

Should I trust comparison sites' scores?

Use them to build the shortlist, then make the final choice with your own weights. An editorial score, including RollShark's, rates a casino for a general reader. In our worked example, the highest-scored of the three casinos finished joint last for a 100 USDT slots player once the weights reflected that player's priorities.

What should I do when a casino does not publish a term?

Score the less favourable case and ask support to confirm the term in writing. If it is a bonus term, assume wagering applies to deposit plus bonus. If it is a withdrawal limit, assume there is one until you see otherwise.

Which criterion should carry the most weight?

For most players, safety and withdrawals together should carry around half the total, because a casino that will not pay out makes every other score irrelevant. After that, weight the criterion your profile depends on: rewards for regular players, coin support for privacy-coin holders, games for slots players.

How often should I redo the comparison?

Whenever your stake, coin or games change, and at least when a casino rebrands, changes licence or changes its bonus terms. Terms in this market move often, so a comparison older than a few months should be rechecked before a large deposit.
